Revel ship models

Hi Everyone,
I am new here, and I have a couple of questions. What ever happened to the ship models that Revel used to make? They used to make the angled deck Essex class carriers Hornet, Wasp, and Lexington. The crusiers Long Beach, Pittsburg, and Boston. The destroyers Forrest Sherman and John Paul Jones.
Is there a chance that these will ever be re-released? If not where can they be found? For my second question, Does anybody make the older island structure for the 350 scale Enterprise, so the ship can be back dated to the Vietnam era?
Thanks in advance
USNRET (Bob)

AS far as the older Revell kits of the Essex Class Carriers and other ships of the cold war. My best bet has been ebay. But there is a high demand for these so be expected to pay around $50.00 or more. There are rumors that Revell Germany may bring back an Essex Class carrier along with Panda Models. But from what I have seen, these will probably be around $50.00 as well.

Thanks Scott. I always thought that those were nice kits. It is ashame hat they don’t produce them anymore. I will keep my eye out for them on Ebay.

If you have any luck locating angled deck Essex carrier kits let me know. I too am looking. Scott has again proven to be a valuable source and support.
Thanks

I sure will Dan. I really think that those were nice detailed kits.

Anybody got any detailed pics of Mid-way class carriers from Korean War era - Looking for CVA-43 USS Coral Sea (1952-53) and CVA-38 USS Shangri-La (1956-62).

I don’t know if Monogram kits are included under Revell, but their old kit of USS Ramsey was the first ship model I ever built, and I’d love to see that kit again.

Minihobbies makes 2 versions of the 350 scale Enterprise. One has the Beehive. It is kit # 80502. I have heard that is fairly innaccurate, but I’m sure it will give you a good base to correct. I am looking for that kit, don’t know anyone who sells it yet, but it is suppossed to be fairly new on market and price s I’ve heard are in the vicinity of $90
