Resin??

I have gotten a few resin parts over the last few days for my UH-1H and was wondering,

  1. What is the best way to remove it from the block?
  2. What is the best glue to use?
  3. Do I have to prime them before I paint them?

James, I can only go from what I do, but in answer to your questions:

  1. I use either a razor saw, or a small razor saw blade, about an inch long, in a scalpel handle.
    2.Use superglue, or possibly epoxy.
    3.I usually just wash them thoroughly in detergent and then paint, but I know several manufacturers, Gunze for sure, produce a dedicated resin primer.

Just a word of warning though, when you saw or sand resin bits: wear a mask as fine resin dust does not do anything nice to your lungs…
