Resin Stryker is on the way

I saw this posted on another forum. Tiger Productions is coming out with a 1/35th resin Stryker by the end of this year. Hopefully it won’t be too expensive. Here is the link:

Man, I’ve been waiting for the Stryker for a while. It looks good. Thanks for info kaleu.

The cool thing is that if its in resin now, injection molded isn’t far behind. I think I’ll do both…

[:D] that is good to hear, it looks good so far.[:D]

At last someone is making a kit! But I think I’ll wait for the plastic version(s) to come out before I add it to the pile.

How similar is the ICV to the MGS? Is a turret swap all that’s needed, or are there other components that are different, like on the hull or wheels?

Why doesn’t the army just use the M113 for this role? We have tons of them on hand already, don’t we? It’s fairly light and I would imagine that it has better cross-country mobility.

The M113’s are considered to be to slow for this purpose. They vehicles are to be as similar as possible for easy maint.

I can see that someone capable of track maintenance would have to be around too, which could add to personnel. But doesn’t the M113 actually have much better mobility over rough terrain? Won’t Stryker formations be a lot more roadbound than M113s would be?

You’re welcome. I can’t wait to get my hands on this kit as well. I’m very curious to see the other versions that will be coming out next year at AMPS.
