I remember seeing a picture of a German fighter imbedded in a B-17 that made it back to base. Can you post a copy of this picture, if you have it? I told someone about this and he thinks that I am crazy.

Hmmm… I don’t think I have a shot of a B-17 with any recognizable parts of a Jerry stickin’ out but there’s this shot of a Fort which was almost cut in half by a Bf 109…
Fragments of the enemy fighter were found among the tangle and mess, I believe. I think I have some photos of this aircraft after it had returned to base where it more or less broke in half upon landing. I’ll see if I can find 'em…

That is unreal! The plane was nearly cut in half and STILL made it back to base. Just goes to show you how well-built some of those old warbirds were.
