Replacemnt Parts for Hasegawa kits?

Does any one know how to get replacement parts from Hasegawa? I managed to screw up on a couple of their kits and REALLY DO NOT one to have to buy a new kit.

You have to go through Dragon Models USA. www.dragonmodelsusa.com I’m not 100% sure on this, but they don’t give away the parts anymore. From what I understand, the charge isn’t exactly nominal either. You could try writing Hasegawa in Japan but the last time I tried, it was a waste of time.

The Asian kit manufacturers suck when it comes to supplying spare parts.
I have only dealt with Airfix and Tamiya - Airfix blew Tamiya away for service !.

bstrump is right, go through Dragon Models USA…I tried to get a few replacement parts for an F-14, and I would have been just as well off buying a new kit. [censored]

Best thing to do is not screw up! [(-D]

I am working on getting some parts myself. It took about 6 days just to get a reply from Dragon via E-mail. So this looks like it might be a slow process.

I tried getting a half of a fuel tank for my 1/32 Hasegawa Me-109E and I wanted to shoot someone. I had to go through a contact number I had for Marco Polo. I had to call the toll free number three times to find out that the part had been sitting in their California warehouse for the few months(3 to 6?) and they just never saw it to send it! The guy I spoke to the last time I called said something like, “Oh, its right here!” [:(!] That was my one, and so far only experience in dealing with foriegn manufactuers and their importers.

You can try calling Dragon USA at 626 968 0322. It takes forever to get the part but this number works.

[#ditto] I got the Ju 87 kit with the gun pods, and when I got home there were no gun pods. I called up the distributer and the manufacturer and was sent replacements. It only took 2 weeks.
Cheers,
Eric

You may try Dragon Models USA, but I actually went through Marco Polo Imports when I lost part of my F-16 kit. I don’t know the phone # off the top of my head, but there is an e-mail link of the marcopolo web site. This worked great. For a nominal fee, they sent me exactly what I needed. Hope it helps.
