Just recently my Eduard yak-3 didn’t come with the canopy. Now I have gotten an academy f-14A and part b-2 is warped or melted then cooled (all surface detail gone) and to top it off 2 deep gouges in the same spot. Now my experience with Eduard was great they shipped off a replacement and I got it in the mail in 1 week and a half. Not bad seeing how it came from the Czec Republic.
Now I have to deal with MRC. When I inquired about getting a replacement part, I was told to right a letter include all of the info spru # part # etc, etc, etc. That really isn’t a problem, but when dealt with another distributor I won’t mention names (Dragon USA) it took 6 months to for it to come in. Has anyone else gone thru MRC for replacements if so what was your experience?
well i didnt really get a replacement part i did get replacement instructions…i emailed MRC and asked if a replacement was available…about 5-7 days later i got an email saying that my email was forwarded to the replacement office, then about a week later i recieved the instructions. The office even emailed me a couple of days before i got the inst. telling me that they sent them out in the mail…pretty good id say
I am having a problem getting replacement parts for my zero. Tamiya usa is giving me the cold shoulder. Since I am stationed in germany they tell me I have to order it from tamiya germany. I am not sure how to do this, don’t speak german, euro - dollar conv., and so on and so on. Is there anyone who has had a similar experince that can help me resolve this one. JOSH
Academy/MRC parts replacement is fast, free, and friendly! And they have an email address, just have to ask for it when you call…
how about Minicraft?..i just opened my Cessna 172 float plane and i have two of the same sprue, but the one with the cowling/engine and the other half of the fuselage is missing
I had gone through MRC for a missing canopy for a 1/72 A-4 & it was sent off to me within a week free of charge.
Also had an issue with a 1/72 fujimi A-6A with a warped lower wing half. I got it thru Squadron & they replaced the kit free of charge.
