Replacement color

For years I have hoarded a couple of tins of Humbrol Doped Linen and now that is running out. I suppose that I can mix a replacement but would really just rather by it. Does anyone out there have a recommendation for a currently available enamel which will match?

Have you tried Hobbyshop.cz in the Czech republic? They have an online store with WWI colors. Haven’t tried the clear doped linen, and it may or may not match the Humbrol; but I did order some German WWI colors from them last year. Shipping wasn’t too expensive. They come in Humbrol-type tinlets for (I think) $1.36 (US). Here’s the web address.

Try the colour reference charts on www.ipmsstockholm.org/helpdesk.asp - however the server seems to be down right now.

Humbrol still makes a linen color, #74. Is this the same as you have? Also Poly Scale acrylics makes a doped linen. Both are in Squadron’s catalogue. I would guess any one selling either line could get it for you.
