Replacement canopy needed.

I realize this is a shot in the dark, but I am seeking a replacement canopy for the Italeri 1/72nd scale Stuka 87D kit. I bought this at a thrift store, and it is complete save for the transparencies.

I’ll gladly accept and pay for either a replacement from this kit, the FALCON vacuformed one from the WWII Luftwaffe set #1, or any other 1/72nd Ju 87D kit.

Cheers.

Sometimes you hit something when you take a shot in the dark. PM me your address. There is a Ju-87D on the Falcon set #5… which I happen to have [:D]

Ah Wing_Nut, you’re a real Godsend, thank you. PM sent, and I want to repay you for your kindness.

Italeri kits are imported by MRC/Academy nowadays, too. They’re pretty good about replacement parts. Check out www.modelrec.com and their policy on replacement parts. I haven’t got parts from them in a long time, but, used to all you had to do was send the proof of purchase cut off of the box lid and the kit name, number, and part numbers you need to them by mail. Depends on how long it takes them because they get them direct from Italeri and MRC./Academy themselves, but I’ve never once been let down by them. Usually a month is the longest I’ve had to wait. Hope this helps!

Forgot to mention, every part I needed they ended up giving me the whole sprue with it. Never thought that was necessary until I had a “flying circus” with my Xacto and the other tiny parts on the same sprue…guess manufacturers really do know our grief sometimes??? [:$]

Cheers for the suggestion, that was the first idea I had towards acquiring a replacement. However, this older kit is not that easy to find lately (at least I haven’t seen it), parts may not be that readily available, and MRC isn’t likely to feel much sense of duty in providing parts for a kit that I purchased at a flea market/antique mall used, and cut rate.

Fortunately, member Wing_Nut is graciously helping me out with a Falcon spare, for which I am eternally grateful![:D[[t$t]
