Picked up Tamiyas M51 Isherman kit last week and thinking bout starting it. Is there a metal replacement barrel for the main gun? If not a direct replacement, is there one that will work?
I believe RB Model and Aber carry the metal barrel with the unique muzzle brake in photo etch.

I looked on both Aber and RB models web page. I did not see any listing for a gun for the M51. Any other ideas?
I think the Aber barrel may be out of production. It was 35-L-120, but its no longer listed, you could try e-bay.
I haven’t found anything about an RB barrel, but did find these on E-bay, but I have never heard of this company.
And this from Mk 1 Design, haven’t heard of these either.
You are probably right; I recall finding a couple of Polish manufacturers that made one when I was looking for one for my Academy M51.
