Can you give me the size (links per inch?) and a good source for replacement anchor chains for the 1/350th scale modern warships?

The Tiger Models very fine chain is good for 1:350 scale cruisers & smaller. Tiger also makes a fine chain which is good for 1:350 scale BB & CV.

Tiger Models stuff is available through the armor model aftermarket sources.

Your other alternative is model railroad chain. Campbell makes some 45 LPI stuff shich is sized similarly to the Tiger fine chain (i.e. good for larger subjects).

Some may suggest that you get some cheap costume jewelry chain. IMO, using it on a ship model, it looks like cheap costume jewelry.

45 LPI it is. Thanks Ed, I got some of the cheap stuff at a local art store and it looked lousy. Appreciate your expertise! Steve

Thanks for the info. I want to replace the anchor chain on a 1/400 scale missile corvette.

Make sure you go with the Extra Fine stuff. 1:400 scale is 12.5% smaller than 1:350 scale
