Last night I experimented with using Micro Set for the first time to see how good this product is. I had done a test run on a scrap kit and I have to say I’m impressed. I loved how it can soften and conform to the notches and such on wings.
My dilemma:
I was working on decalling my P-51 Mustang and I sort of got a little impatient in hurrying to get the star and bar decal to conform on the top wing with little notches. So I poked tiny holes in 2 places around said notch and tried to push them down to conform with it. Needless to say it ripped and it looks kinda messed up a bit. My thought is cut a small piece of the blue area and place it where the rip is. Would it work? Or should I remove the decal and replace with another? I don’t have extras of same size for the wing of a 1/48th scale kit. I do have extras from a P-47 Thunderbolt but it’s the side decal star and bar.
