I ran into a problem with my AB and now wish to remove the little paint I already have on the model. I’m using Tamiya acrylics. What can I use? Will it affect superglued bonds?
Thanks

For Tamiya acrylics, a product called simple green works great. You can get it at many hardware stores.
I’ve soaked parts in Windex to remove acrylic paint. Let them sit for a hour and do a little light scrubbing with a toothbrush. -Jesse
Windex or Simple Green will remove almost all Tamiya acylics very well. If you apply them within about eight hours of painting, you don’t even have to soak the parts.
There are a few Tamiya colors that are more resistant. Soaking will get those. Ninety percent isopropyl alcohol is also a good thing to use on stubborn spots.
None of these will affect superglue.
Thanks a lot guys!
simple green and windex = great for tamiya. Also: consider superclean, from casterol- degreaser, safe on plastics, does wonders.
I use Windex mostly because
A: it works awesome and
B: I get a 2 litre jug in Wallmart for less than 5 bucks.
