I have a question for all of those who attach the canopies of their aircraft before paint the camo but then remove it and pose it open.
What glue do you use to make removal after painting and weathering relatively easy?
TIA

I glue mine on with Elmer’s white glue before painting, and carefully pry them off after. The residue is easy to clean off. One little trick I learned is to run a sharp blade between the canopy part and the airframe to keep the paint between the two from pulling apart and coming off of one of them.
[#ditto] I do the same thing.
I read a great article on hyperscale where the guy (David Aungst) uses blue tac for this purpose. It works great and helps make sure there are no little gaps for paint to sneak in. I have used this method ever since and love it. Below is the link to the article. Hope it helps you as much as it has me…

I’ve done both, depending on how ‘sensitive’ the cockpit interior details were.
I use maskol as the glue then when ready just prise the canopy off with a razor blade.
Thanks a lot for the responses guys, that was exactly what I was looking for.
Cheers
