Removal of dried Tamiya polishing compound ?

Hi,

I’ve just used some of this stuff to lightly polish a P-40 camo scheme, as I felt the finish had a little roughness to it. I’m having trouble getting the last of it out of the panels lines etc ? The model was sprayed with Humbrol enamels and hasn’t progressed to Future or decals yet.

Has anyone got any good ideas regarding removal of the residue ?

I am not familiar with the product but, is it possible to wash it off with a warm, mild detergent water bath and a toothbrush?

Just a thought.
