Nope, same coast as you, just further north, up here in PA. My local hobby shop was Penn Valley Hobbies in Lansdale, which is still there, but now, they also have an eBay online store. The store is still crammed with all kinds of great and wonderful things, all jammed into an old row house on Main Street.

Maybe Testor’s non-toxic is the one I’m thinking of, though, that had a black applicator cap.

And did you touch your fingertip to the painted surface, to check if it was dry? Anyone else remember doing that?
