'Reinforcement on the way'

Nice work! Your figures always look good!!! [Y]

They look real good in that dynamic scene. Makes me want to fire a burst at the group as they look so real.

Great action in that scene. Nice work as always.

Thanks.

Looks like we’re soon going to hear, “Corpsman up!”

Not sure what that means…

Means going to need a medic right now

Thank you.

Goldhammer has it right. “Corpsman up!” is the last thing a Navy hospital corpsman wants to hear. It was those words, after one very loud gunshot, that I heard at the beginning of the battle for Hill 50 in Quang Ngai Province, South Vietnam, in March, 1966. A combined unit of People’s Army of North Viet Nam and Main Force Viet Cong soldiers ambushed my company. One of the first shots severely wounded my platoon leader, and I was shot soon after as I was attempting first aid on a wounded Marine.

After the battle, in which 10 Marines in my company were killed, I was evacuated to the hospital ship U.S.S. Repose for emergency surgery. I’m currently building a model of Repose.

I read your story Bob - I just shake my head. Thanks for your service - and what does a corpsman yell when he’s hit??? Merry Christmas brother, I’m glad you’re still with us.

Wow!!! What a short brief a d explosive story. Thank you for that and appreciate your bravery and services.
