Refurbishing tamiya 1/48 bf109

I decided I was going to strip off the decals on this tamiya bf109 that I did and start over. Two questions.

  1. What’s the best way to strip off these decals without destroying the acrylic underneath?
  1. I’m going to repaint with acrylics…should I try and detach the canopy or should I re-mask it?

  1. try micro sol/set to strip the decals off. You could even use vinegar.

  2. I would say: detach. But then I assumed that you have attached it with white glue of klear.
    If you used super glue or styreen glue, then re-mask.
