So I started and somewhat finished this kit years ago. It had been occupying a space in my Dad’s basement with his stash since then. After returning to the hobby two years ago, I decided I could correct some of my previous mistakes and liven it up a little bit. Wanting a quick turn-around, I did not remove the previous coat of paint. In hindsight, I probably should have taken this measure to ensure a better quality final coat. Acrylic Tamiya and Vallejo paints were used. The kit is all OOB with the exception of some small stowage and track links (from a PZ IV) because I lacked extra links for the Marder. Overall a fun project to practice skills for future builds. Comments and Critiques always welcome. Start:

Very nice! The improvements are excellent and the finish is well thought out. Big like here. ![]()

Looks like a bunch of guys died getting those rear idlers off!
I liked the original too, but you have pictures…
The paint work is really first rate.
Sending over a box of my old stuff now!
LMAO! I didn’t notice that at first LOLOLOL. Nice catch G lol!
It looks good for a kit over 30 years old!
Nice revamp, certainly worth the effort.
Thanks for the replies. G- one day those poor German souls will get the diorama they deserve…
Nice work!!! I’ve redone a few kits but now try to keep them around to try to remind myself of how much better I am (hopefully!) now than I was back then.
