REFRESHING CHANGE-- HELP

Need to charge my batteries , found a Trumpeter Finish Army T-55 W/KMT-5???, it’s motorized, in my inventory. I am a plane guy mostly, but try everything once. Anybody ever built one of theses??? Help would be appreciated with any advice. Thanks ARMOR GUYS!!!

It depends what you are looking for. If you are looking for an accurate T-55 model, then it isn’t. If you are looking for a model that kinda resembles a T-55 sorta but fits together ok and you and can have a little enjoyment building something different, then you shouldn’t have any problems with it.

Get a strong glue! some boxings of that kit are molded in a plastic that is resistant to the more mild liquid cements. It also needs replacement tracks. The kit vinyl tracks are bad. Overall it is not a horrid kit, but there are better ones out there. But its cheap and fun to try out armor techniques on.

Honestly, don’t do it. The state of armor modelling is eons ahead of that dog of a kit you have in your hands. If this is your first armor kit, really treat yourself to something nice – well-engineered and accurate. If you want to build it with a youngster, that’d be fine.

It’s the equivalent of an armor guy posting on the aircraft forum: “Hi everyone! I only build armor but would like to try my hand at an aircraft. I just got the Matchbox Me-410 Zerstorer. Should I go for it?” What advice would you give him?
