REfrence photos

Im new to the shipbuilding part of modeling as i usually stick to armor, so i was wondering if you guys could give me some good sites to look at for refrence photos of Ticonderoga CLass carriers or Essex class carriers. Also the ship that i am building is the Hasegawa USS Ticonderoga…

Well for the real thing,

Essex class

There is a “Tarawa” class Assault carrier,

and then the Ticonderoga
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ship/cg-47.htm

But I do not recall any Ticonderoga class carriers.

For model references see

www.navsource.org is a pretty good site too.

there is a ticonderoga class of aegis cruisers Thay have helo-pads. I have the shanghai drangon USS Normandy.

A little Essex education…

There were short hulled Essex class, and long hulled, of which Ticonderoga was the first of the long hulls. Sometimes they were referred to as a separate class, especially later on when the lead ships in the class were retired.
