Reference photos of Sturer Emil?

I have the 1/35 Trumpeter kit and was wondering if anyone had any photos laying around. I looked around in my books and found nada.

Thanks.

Very nice. Thanks for the quick reply Ron. There are some nice shots, even 2 of the interior. One thing I never get used to is the lack of color photos… :frowning:

This was an impulse buy a few months ago at the LHS and have been itching to do it ever since. I didnt get any upgrades.

One thing I saw in those pictures that you may be interested in: the tarp configuration. That is really interesting that there is a large tarp that goes across the top with buckles. Might be a neat scratch build project.

It is supposed to be a very nice oob kit Ron the only reason i got the upgrades was i wanted a project to try some advanced PE on so i chose this one and got the large voyager set 6 frets in all plus resin i also got some nice looking hobby boss indi link tracks cheap, i agree the tarp would be a interesting scratch built item but the interior of this vehicle is quite interesting and i hope to be able to show it off, if i fail miserably then a tarp could be the answer heh, good luck with the build [:)]

I built the kit a while ago, and I have to say it was a great build. Easy fit, and great thought out sub-assemlies that let me paint the interior without having to mask anything. The gun is huge too! Heres a link to the thread where I posted the pics, I did mine with a whitewash.

Good luck on your tank, it should come out great.

Ron Drop me a PM and I will organise some PDF info for you.

I got this info for my 1:72 scale Emil build.

It is not much but I am sure it will help you out.

Cheers

Mike

Panzer Tracts No. 7-3 has 12 pages of photos and details of the Stubburn Emil.

Only two of these bad boys went into battle. One was destroyed, the other currently resides in the Kabinka museum. I believe there are some photos of that vehicle on-line.

I built the Trumpeter kit, it went together surprisingly well and was a very enjoyable build. OOB is very nice - except for the tracks. They are not very good, and they are too short. I built mine about a year ago and recently purchased Hobby Boss tracks to replace the originals. That would be my primary recommendation - aftermarket tracks. The Hobby Boss tracks are not expensive at all, I bought them at my LHS for under $10.

Did you get the PDF build review?
