red ?

Maybe this’ll sound like I’m nuts, but every time I go to use my red paint it’s dried up. Doesn’t matter if it’s enamel or acrylic. I don’t use much of it as I do mostly armor, but it’s very aggravating when I go to paint a couple of tail lights and I need to buy a new bottle of paint. If it’s just me can anyone suggest how to better store a bottle of red paint? Thanks.

I suspect the problem is a improper seal on the bottle.

When i am done with a color for a while i will clean the rim and cap of the paint jar untill all paint is removed, put the cap back on and finally turn the bottle upside down for a second (this final step will help creat a air tight seal).

Hope this helps

Good idea, I’ll give this a shot with seldom used colors.

You’ll get a better tail light effect by using a clear red over silver than using regular red paint. I have a 15 year old bottle of Tamiya clear red that I still use for taillights.
