Floquil makes a color called Oxide Red in thier Railroad Colors line. It is a really close match

I’ve read that Tamiya Hull Red (acrylic) is pretty close.

I know it’s a plane but the spinner/prop but its the only thing I have that has Tamiya hull red out of the bottle. Is that the right color?

Polly Scale also makes a “Oxide Red” in their Model Railroad Colors line-up of acrylics. Looks dead on to me…

That’s the shade I like…

In the E-100 I did here a while back, I mixed up my own from a base of Tamiya Hull Red, and added some Dark Yellow and White, if I recall? The thing is, depending on what conditions you’re looking at your tank from, and the weathering, you can be off a shade or two and still be “ballpark” and no one’s gonna be the wiser for it. Personally, I didn’t get too worked up about a dead-on shade, but that’s me…[:-^][swg]
