Recovery Vehicles

Where can I find some good in-action photos of recovery
vehicles? Specificaly, Sdkfz 9 FAMO &M32 Sherman?

Try this site, it should be able to help:

Unfortunately neither of these vehicles drew that much attention from the photographers during the war so action scenes are few and far between. You’ll usually find them scattered throughout various reference materials.

Erik - Nice site, but neither of these vehicles are on it but it certainly does have some nice pics.

Great site. Thanks for sharing it with us Erik

There are a couple of vehicles on that site that I hope to finish sometime next year. Along with about a hundred other kits that I want to build next year… [:P] Isn’t that always the way it works it out? More ideas than time to build? I’m glad you both liked the site. It is one of my favorites.

heres a site with M32s on (some Combat pics or as close as they got)

Great site thanks for sharing it with us.

Have you seen the book Engineering and Recovery Vehicles by Ampersand Publishing. Their website is the only place I have found the book. Not many real vehicles but some great ideas and kits I’ve never seen. Also Allied-Axis Tank Transporters of W.W. II. Great phots of the Famo and M25/26. I love engeering vehicles. Put an M32 on back of the Dragon Wagon. that is the way its displayed. Also, read the book Death Traps by Belton Cooper. Some photos. With 3rd Armored maintenance. Some have complained about the way the book was written, by repeating some things, etc. Really do not care, great book and learned things about maintenance going through France I never dreamed of.

well thanks for sharing-AFTER I BUILT MY M-32!
well anyway, that is a cool pic of the m32 trying to push the other tank right side up again

I’m not sure, but if you’re willing to do some reasearch check out the britishpathe.com
there I saw lots of field repairing photos/videos of tanks and other stuff during ww2. Hope this helps
