Hey Arthur and welcome to the forum. I can tell you first hand the best place in Atlanta is AAA Hobby in Marietta. They’re on Roswell Rd east of the Big Chicken. I shop there all the time, almost every day at lunch! [:I]
They’re number is 770-973-5666. Good selection, good folks and modelers themselves.

Thanks Eric! I thought AAA closed down! Did they change addresses?? I’ll check them out this weekend!
" - Honey, I need another credit card, please…" :-))
Why oh why doesn’t this surprise me.
Does the hobby shop move if the chicken moves?
Or is the chicken permanently glued in one location?
What if the chicken crosses the road?

It depends on who came first, the Chicken or the Egg…
Pisco, yeah they moved a few years ago but they’re still going strong.
Robert…SMACK…now go OUT of your room and don’t come back till you can play nice! [;)] [:D]
It’s a “Mayretta” thang, all directions are given with the Big Chicken as reference.
Read here for some history. http://roadsidegeorgia.com/site/bigchicken.html

AAA is the best place for detail sets, but I think Hobbytwon USA in Kennesaw is the bset hobby shop. They have a much better selection to choose from.
It’s always good to see the Big Chicken!
And that would make you 7,058 miles (give or take) from the Big Chicken Brian. [;)][;)]
Approximately!
I used to live in the Greater Big Chicken Area. [:D]
