I built one years ago, painting it with sticky Testors silver [yuck] which I discovered is still sticky and [yuck]-y twenty years on.
1/72nd is my preferred scale, though 1/48th is an option.
What are the good and bad kits? And what about metallic foils instead of paint?
I’d like something with good ol’-fashioned Soviet red stars on it.
(BTW, the smiley is a Mr Yuk)
try hasagawa or trumpeter, they’re both good products and i think they have a large selection of 1/72 and 1/48 subjucts, stay with the forums someone will help ya more later.
Academy makes a 1/48 scale Mig 21 PF and Mig 21 MF versions and Trumpeter ofers Mig 21’s in 1/72 scale 1/32 scale and 1/48 scale.
Depends which variant you want. Revell Germany makes a nice MiG-21 F13, and Fujimi makes a nice series of the later variants. All are in 1/72.

If I still had mine, I’d give it to you. It was 1:1 scale.
I had to leave it in Somalia.
