Such a SEXY aircraft! I bought the kit at a swap meet for $5.00 as I’d never built a Japanese aircraft. My local aircraft model club had a little in-house competition on anything WWII. I forgot about the deadline and rushed to build this entire model in ONE WEEK! I got 2nd place. I also won 3rd place at the 2015 Blue Angel Model Fest for 1:48 Prop category–out of about 65 entries! 
Hell, I’ll take that!
This was my first use of ALL Tamiya acrylics, and my first canopy dipped in future. This was also the first canopy I actually masked and airbrushed, instead of hand-painting the framework. It paid off, and I’m VERY PROUD of this build! This kit went together like a DREAM. I also added seatbelts made from masking tape, and buckles made from photo etch sprue scraps. Enjoy!
