Is it just me or does the advertisements ( non modeling ) and pop ups seem to a little annoying lately ? Maybe I’m just noticing it now.
I have started noticing it as well, but only at home. I get nothing on the works computer. But i have also noticed they are not there all the time.
Run a VPN and that will stop the ads in their respective tracks!
It’s not just ads. In recent days there’s been a FSM hosted popover with a “let’s get started” button which completely overlays the page just opened and doesn’t appear to have a “close” button.
All due respect to our gracious hosts…but this one is really annoying. I habitually open windows in separate tabs, and it persists in popping up on each and every one!
(Just ‘click’ anywhere outside the box, and it goes away. But still… [8o|])

EDIT: The “let’s get started” add popped up right after I hit enter. FSM please stop it!!!

I don’t usually get on with my pc. I haven’t noticed any pop ups on my phone or kindle
On the FSM website ??,I use my phone mostly and sometimes my ipad,I have not seen any pop up ads
Yes me too and it doesn’t show up on either just the PC.
Yes, that’s been annoying.
I finally started getting different ads like the dating ones, T-shirt company, that purple pillow company and a class action lawsuit for Round Up weed killer, but the world of warships and tanks have gone away.

It doesn’t happen for everyone, so there must be popup blocker settings specific to each browser and user, that come into play. I see no ads at all.
Might the problem be in the browser rather than FSM’s web site? I use Mozillla Thunderbird, and find a lot more pop-ups that get through the browser pop-up blocker lately. I guess the web spammers catch on to the code the browser builders use. It takes awhile for the browser guys to catch up. I hope that happens soon. My browser has sure slowed down.
