http://www.armyjeeps.net/
sorry!
Wow, you have to be kidding. Second mortgage here I come. I’ll deal with a third wife later. LOL Thanks Beav. That just seems ridicously low for a tank in running order from that era. Makes you wonder.
Hmmmm. Will it fit into my garage?
I had an opportunity to ride in one of the last vehicles produced by Germany in WW2. It has the Waffenamt stamp on the front glacis plate. It is (was?) in private ownership in southern Indiana. It is completely intact in every way. I am too tall to sit in it comfortably but the thrill was worth the discomfort.
Easy… Why do you think its got a 75mm gun?
[:0](drool, drool)[:0]
The Hetzer is nice, but check out the Ferret - how’s about that for a Sunday drive?
Here’s the exact address:

That Hetzer’s been on there a while. I want the Stuart turret!
Ron
I want that M103 turret!
It all seems rather inexpensive, considering.
14 grand for the Ferret? Cheap!
I wish they had a BMP-1…
That is too cool! The Ferret is nice, too! And I thought that 1:6 Tiger was big!!
You ought to check out the “parts” section, also. Bullet proof glass, etc. But they also have a “bullet proof” speed boat (lined with Kevlar!), and a space capsule!!
Where does this guy get this stuff?? I had no idea there were brokers in this sort of stuff!!
If I’m not mistaken, a lot of the new stuff on the site belongs to Fred Ropkey. He has a tank museum just west of Indianapolis. Well worth a veiw! I think once you have the resources, the connections and can prove you’re not going to sell stuff to some third world dictator, you can get just about anything surplus! Fred’s crew has restored many vehicles, some for Fred, others for museums. It’s very, very cool.
Ron
PS My wife said ‘no’ to the Stuart turret. … so much for building one a little at a time!
hmmm
anyone want to spilt it? lol
how am i going to fit that 1:1 scale model on my desk???
haha
Man and the weathering on that thing is awesome almost lifelike[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]
Boy I will say this much, Let me see that woman that totaled my 2003 Saturn Vue run a red lite now!!!
Ron,
The owner of the Hetzer in Jeffersonville, In has a similar armor collection to Ropkey, just not in size. He does have a crew that restores and maintains his armor in running condition. Ropkey’s collection is very good and I have been there a couple of times. I think he now wants people to call and make an appointment to come out and see the tanks. At one time he had an Abrams before the Army wanted it back and gave him a few WW2 tanks as trade. Nice work if you can get it… [:D]
How does one amass a real armor collection?
Start a war… It works for the army.
