Re-painting or second coating

[:(]
Hi,

I have just bought a DML 1:35 Tiger I Initial Production, and I finished assembling it over a week.

and as time goes I am not satisfied with the paint color and the way it shines like a glossy like a new factory car made.

I used an acrylic spray paint cause I dont have an air brush.

The question is… can I re-paint it? and oh before I forgot, I actually messed up with the turret because of too much coating of spray paint and I sand papered and chipped of some of resedue but some part of it was way cut deep and it barely shows over the finished paint job. [V]

can I repaint it with tamiya acrylics and how about the deep cutted parts ? [8)]

anyone can help me with this ? cause Im new in scale modelling and this is my first armor kit. [V]

and every time i look at it im very disapointed with it.

You can repaint it. Just sand smooth the original paint and paint it again. After the new coat dries(48hrs) spray on a flat coat if the paint turns out glossy.

If you want to try to remove the first layer, get some “Easy Off” Oven Cleaner. Lay out some newspapers and spray liberally over your model (wear kitchen gloves b/c the spray is caustic). Then place the model inside a 1 gallon freezer bag. Let it sit for about 3 hours and most of the paint will be off. Rinse it w/cold water and use a toothbrush to loosen the paint in the crevices. Be careful with your photo etch, if you’ve used any, though.

Thanks Guys I will try your advice(s) you shure are a lot of help.
Thank you very Much.
