Rc crawlers? I can’t be the only one…

1/16? That’s gotta be pretty big. Some of those rc tanks actually fire projectiles and the have tank wars with them on YouTube. Pretty neat stuff.

I believe they have infrared attachments that enable it for tank battles

Same here… nobody is interested in it where I live except my nephew. Its better when you have others to rock crawl with.

That’s neat, there is so much in the rc world these days. Just depends on how much your willing to pay…

The cool thing is that I repair rock crushing equipment all over the state, if I work on weekends I’m usually by myself so I’ve brought my crawler with me a few times to the quarries and played around a bit after I finish what I’m doing so that can be a bit of a blast for a bit before I hit the road.

So absolutely true… you can drop a boat load nowadays lol

FYI: Moved this thread to the Ready Room because it’s not static scale model related.

That crawler looks pretty wicked! Way back I built and raced Associated RC10 buggies. Lot of fun. I’m more into planes and helis now. But haven’t done much flying in the past couple years. Been spending my time on static models.

I actually do too! Here it is.

Mine is almost 16 inches long. It can fire little plastic yellow balls, and, as Anthony (Tojo72) said, they also have infrared things so that the tanks can “battle.” After so many shots one of them will be “knocked out,” and then after a moment turn back on. These Heng Long tanks are tough, though the infrared is failing.

That’s badass, I’d like to see one of the comp battles in real life. I’ve seen them on video.

Here are a couple shots of the RC4WD TF2

He did the tape masking and paint. This was the kit version so I sat at his side while he assembled it.

Nice! Looks awesome The kits are fun, but figuring out the electronics to use can be a real pain. My rock bouncer recommended a 2300 kv motor so me being me I picked up a 4200 kv motor, I had a two speed transition and easily hit 60 mph in low gear. As amazing as it was it wasn’t designed for speed so I picked up the recommended 2300 and put it in. Recommendations are recommended to follow :joy:

:laughing::laughing::laughing: that is so true… I do the same :laughing:. That is why I go with Spektrum. They have motor/electrical package pre-made for every category. From going very fast to low gear vertical rock crawling.

My bouncer has a Spektrum set up, no complaints with it.

Ya I’m all in with Spektrum. Great gear and no more frequency clothes pins.
