Rate my Sherman!

Here is my finished 1/48 Tamiya Sherman. I add VLS resin acccessories, but other than that it was built out of the box. All comments are welcome, positive or negative. (hopefully I got the links correct and you all can see the photos)

looks pretty good sean. the only critical thing i can make is with the dry-brushing, you may have been a little excessive on the angles and other objects on the hull, but thats just my taste. the rest of the weathering looks great. I especially like the way the national insignia really blends in with the hull. are those decals, or did you use a mask and paint them? the faded and dirty coloring of the stars looks perfect. for a 1/48 kit, it looks like a 1/35 or larger. excellent job I’d say.

looks dam good to me[:D]–how you guys do such good work in the smaller scales is beyond me-- nice job!-- treadwell

Looks great to me!!Outstanding work.[tup]

Looks great. Nice straps and weathering.

A well executed build. I agree with Grinch about the drybrushing, in the camera lens it looks a little excessive.

Good job,

Steve

Looks good, but I agree with gringe. Drybrushing is over done on the corners and edges.

[:D] looks real nice to me,great build, but why is it so clean.?[:D] nice work.

Looking good. Maybe a bit heavy on the drybrushing.

Regards,

Terry.

Looks great to me! Good job!

Overall it’s a very nice presentation. Two thing stand out to me however. Your dark wash has accumulated around the molded on tools – that’ll happen. But it just looks unusual to me.

Secondly, your rusty end connectors for the tracks. The guide teeth were integral to this part. Yet you’ve left them a different color. Should they be the same color?

(There’s discussion about the accuracy of any rust color on tracks due to the rubbing with abrasive earth-- maybe you shouldn’t do the rust color at all?)
