Hallo,
I have seen a drawing of an A-7 E in grey, blue-grey and sand camouflage. It is said to be a test-scheme of VA-27 “Royal Maces” NAS Lemoore or on Board CVN-65. The MODEX is 402.
Can someone help with more Information, because I would like to build a model of this plane and need drawings of this camo.

From my ref checking, I’ve seen an A-7 from VA-22 in those colors. Its mostly a sand/brown scheme w/ some greyblue here and there.(BuNo 158657) was seen in 1988 but the paint scheme was not adopted.(pg16)
I am looking at a concord book entitled “SLUFF A-7 Corsair II” and it shows a VA-27 “Royal Maces” bird in a grey ,bluegrey and med blue scheme**(MODEX 402)**pg17. I have not yet seen the scheme that your talking about of grey,blue grey and sand
I have seen though actual pics and in my research a A-7 painted up in a sand/brown scheme. This bird was w/ VA-72 and was aboard the USS John F Kennedy during the Gulf War. (pg36) Across the wing top it had spelled out “DESERT STORM”
This paint scheme was applied as the squadron was returning to NAS Cecil Field. May be they dont have pics of this particular bird or maybe I’m over looking somin. Best of luck. Flaps up, Mike

I checked again on MODEX 402 from VA-27, it is painted up like how I described up above of grey/blue grey and med blue.
This particular a/c also went through a evaluation of experimential paint schemes.
Could I ask where you found/or have gotten this info from?? And what time period this had taken place. Thanx Flaps up, Mike
