Apologies to Pix for purloining his lead in, but couldn’t resist the temptation.
This is the latest off my bench, a Hasegawa 1/48 Rufe. Built OOB with PE seat belts added and AM decals from AeroMaster. Painted with ModelMaster enamels. Only half as big as the Trumpeter 1/24 kit and maybe only half as nice, but a pretty easy build except for masking the [censored] canopy.
Joe, gunney, Dave, seangrb, Filibert, Swanny, Thanks for the feedback & comments. Glad you liked it.
Swanny, I just got my digital camera a couple of weeks ago and the bird was already buttoned up so I didn’t get any interior shots. They are there, honest injun, from an Eduard IJNAF fret.
Chris, Bob, woodbeck3, Paul, monrad, Thanks for your feedback and generous comments. Much appreciated.
woodbeck3, If you buy it, you’ll enjoy the build. It’s basically the same kit as the Hasegawa 1/48 Zekes , but with the obvious differences in wing & floats. It also comes with the beaching dolly for display which is very nice.
Rick, great job! That same model’s next on my list, hopefully to be started this weekend. I was dreading the canopy to begin with . . . your comment really scared me.
Nice bird Rick!!! I’m always glad to see other modelers builds!!! Kinda kicks me into gear to finish up some of my builds…well…maybe after this next beer…LOL
