Here’s a picture of my friend, Wally Haskett, Spirit of Texas that he just completed. The kit is based on the Hobbycraft Sea Fury kit. The cockpit, wheels, tires, and canopy are scratchbuilt. The prop is from Fisher Models and the gear were rebuilt. The decals are from Red Pegasus.

I love going to Reno and watching the races, and have seen this plane fly many times.

Very nice to see a Sea Fury in race colors, especially one so well done. I have never built it, but I have read about the difficulties with that kit- kudos for him turning it into a gem. [^]
