RAAF P-40E finished (pics)

I would to share my recent project - AMTech P-40E made as a Kittyhawk A29-34 “Tojo’s Jinx” from 76 Sqn. RAAF, Milne Bay, 1942.

I’ve changed model’s undercarriage for Hasegawa, added Eduard resin wheels (from P-40N), Eduard PE parts for cockpit and Tally Ho decals. Painted with ModelMaster, Vallejo and Humbrol paints.

Pilot figure is from Tamiya’s Buffalo and red kangaroo was “scratchbuild” by my friend Jacek “The Knife” who makes figures.

Hope you enjoy!

Aleksander

Nice build and a great little vignette. Really like the mascot. Thanks for sharing.

Pat.

Very nice build, it’s good to see a 40 w/o the sharks teeth for a change and the scene is entertaining. [Y]

That is one neat P-40 and display! Thanks for sharing it.

Very nice look. Love the P-40! Rick

A 1/48 kangaroo?? OK, now I’ve seen it all! Great job on the P40.

Nice build!

Pretty cool, looks like the pilot is giving the 'roo a lesson on how the plane works. Thanks for sharing

Nice job on your build Aleksander. Like the kangaroo.

Hehe, I love it!

Excellent work with the addition of the kangaroo.

Chris.

Thank you , Mates!

I’m happy you like my little dio. The model was specially built for ANZAC Day to commemorate war effort of Aussie pilots.

Since I didn’t found any kangaroo figure in 1/48, I’ve asked my friend to make one for me - there it is - I’m sure it is the necessary addition to the story.

Regards!

I like it! Then again, I like any P-40, especially this one!
