RAAF OS2U Kingfisher (Monogram 1/48)

Okay, have three group builds going on but I needed a break for a kit I’ve been wanting to get to. I used the Monogram kit with the PE. Inspiration was from a color profile someone sent me. had to scrounge for the roundels and I hand painted the plane numbers. I have plans in the correct scale to build a catapult but that is down the road. First up is the inspiration then three of my build. Thanks for looking. ~Chris

Great job! I have never seen a kingfisher in that paint job before.

Truly a great job on a classic kit and an outstanding choice of color scheme… Definately don’t see a Yellow Kingfisher every day…

Great job ! Always good to see some Aussie stuff on the forum.

Nice build. That ought to add some color to the display shelf.

Excellent work on the Oldie kit. Never saw one before in that scheme. Thanks for sharing.

Regards, Rick

Great job! Don’t see one painted in yellow every day.

Nice job…I’ve got the real one in my hometown aboard the USS Battleship North Carolina. Sure is good looking. I hope to do one soon.

Very nice work on the Kingfisher and very attractive in such an unusual color. The caption on the profile says, “HMAS Wyatt Earp”. YGTBSM! ! ! ! ! The Aussies really named a carrier after that dude?

since you mention it, there is a back story on the Wyatt Earp:
