I’ve been sort of absent lately, with a promised tutorial still incomplete. Forgive please as I lost one of the most loved creatures I have ever known. A fella who has been a steadfast comrade for the last 21 years If the number of nicknames/endearments are any measure of fondness, then he must have been the “cats meow.” as he wore the following handles, Tiger, Blockhead, chickenhawk, Mr. Blister, The Boy and The Dude. Via con dios sweet one, we’ll meet again.[angel]

Yeah and when they live 21 years, well its like losing any loved one you’ve known that long. I won’t say its as bad as losing a child, but as for my wife and I, these lil guys are the only kids we have. Thank you for your sentiments. I hope to finish the tutorial asap.

i had a dobie that was rescued from being put down because of a “flaw” ,so i promised not to breed her and she was mine for about 12 yrs. she got the cancer and just before i had to put her down i had our pictuers taken and you bet that i miss her every day.so dont ever let anyone say that they are just animals

[:(] Condolences. I know how you feel, but at least you had a good long time with Conal. I had to put down my best friend Eddie, my Cairn Terrier, about a month ago due to kidney desease. He was only 7. They truly become part of the family and are missed.

I am very sorry for your loss. Its terrible when our small friends leave us. I still miss Emily, our Sheperd/Husky family member of 18 years that left us a few years ago.

You have my condolences, though belated. I was just posting pics of my three babies over to disrupt their doog thread. I cant even bring myself to think about loosing my girls… I’v had them since I was in middle school (college now) they are really a part of the family.

Condolences!

I rescued a weeks-old kitten from a dumpster one cold, rainy night, wormed and de-flead him next day and was looking for a home for him. Then I awoke from a nap to find him asleep on my chest…he found a home. 11 years until inoperable cancer got him. My daughter named him “Baby”.

Now I have Barney…the Yorkie in my avatar.
