r/c boat HELP

My uncle has an old wood Chris Craft r/c boat. It is a kit that needs restoration. We don’t know the age of the thing but would like info about it. We would like plans or schematics but I can’t find any info on the web. Can anyone help in this search? The kit may be from the '60s and it would be great to get it “sea” worthy again. I thank you all for your time. Bob

It is possible I have the same model in my basement. The date is right, mine is about 36" long (too lazy right now to go down and dig out the model and tape measure).
I bought it for a couple of bucks around 1967, assembled, from a friend who didn’t want it and over the years it has become a sort of test bed for me. It is also on my list of projects for a restoration.
Mine is balsa with mahoghany decks and cabin, I have no idea who made it. It originally had no RC but I added that and tried various motors and other gadgets over the years.

Does this sound like yours? If so maybe I can help with details, but sorry but I have no plans for the boat.
Good luck,
Bruce

If it is a Dumas boat, or similar to one they produce you can write to Dumas boats, and they will send you a new set of plans.

You might try the Chris Craft antique boat club, they have a website as well as the people at Wooden Boat magazine for plans or drawings of the prototype. Good luck, those boats are gorgeous.
