Quote removed from reply post upon saving

I don’t know if anyone has seen this, but when I try to quote a previous post in a reply, the quote is removed and I see a message to that effect.

I can click to edit my reply, then click the Quote button again in the editor bar, and the quoted content is restored. Then I can save the edit and the quote is present.

But it shouldn’t have been removed in the first place. This seems like a bug.

If it happens again, please take a screen shot. We can then report it to Discourse. However, keep in mind that we no longer code the forum. This is an outside vendor, so updates get pushed through on their timeline and bugs are looked into at their discretion.

Heh! It just did, but that was before I read your reply. Here’s a fresh attempt and screen shots:

@Tim_Kidwell1 I think you should be able to grab that .jpeg from my post. I can send it, if not.

Perfect! I’ll first look through the Discourse feeds to see if there’s any info there and then send it on to their team if I can’t find anything for you. Thanks!

I don’t know if the technical people have done anything yet, but the Quote feature appears to be working now. I just quoted a posted in a thread, and the quoted text showed up when I saved my post. I did not get the “quote has been removed” message.
