[(-D] I had good Belly laugh with that one!!![(-D] Well I know the 94th had Sabres in the 50’s!!! Anyways, I saw this thread with F-15 in it and had to look. I was an Eaglekeeper at Robins AFB in GA. The depot maintenance facility for them. All of the A models that came through had been so highly modified internally and externally that we could only tell by the tailcodes. Anything 77 and before was an A/B’s, 78 onwards was a C/D’s, 87 onwards E’s. Can’t remember the squadron, but had the pleasure of working on 83-017, the ONLY bird from Langley to claim a kill during Desert Storm. I would have to agree that your best bet for a good A model would be the Monogram one. The tailcones on the engines lost the turkey feathers very early in service. Few minor diffs externally between A and C’s, but would really take very close scrutinizing of alot of pics.
I really liked that old air superiority blue scheme on the F-15. It’s a shame that there really isn’t a good decal sheet out there for one. I had to use an ancient Microscale sheet with lots of liquid decal film. It’s the only sheet out there that I’m aware of that has an ASB F-15.

Nice to know me and some “New Orleans pimp” aren’t alone [:)] . I saw a sheet on Greatmodels I think it was. It might have been Microscale and that had me thinking for a while. I guess I will hunt down an old Monogram kit.
If you decide to do an air superiority blue F-15, try using Model Master Flanker Medium Blue. It’s a very close match and produces a nice result! Here is a Hasegawa F-15B I recently built in air superiority blue using the MM Flanker Medium Blue.
Can’t believe i didn’t see this pic before!!! That looks great aagranata!!! While I was working on F-15’s I kept some of the metal parts tags of the planes I worked on and found i had worked on a close cousin to your bird, F-15B 73-114. I think it was the oldest F-15 in service at the time!! Obviously was going to fly for awhile longer if it was getting an overhaul!!
