I had a question for everyone, I’m working on a M1A1HA and it’s the Tamiya kit, the Operation Iraq Freedom kit, and I was wondering if you could use parts, like the upper and lower hull and turet, and mix it with the TAMIYA U.S. M1A1 ABRAMS W/ MINE PLOW 1:35? Now I’m just talking about the basic parts, not the hatchs and guns and everything like that, just the main hull and the top turret? I think you can but i would like to hear it from the experts.
Also, did the USMC M1A1HA have the Mine plow on it, or was that just the army that did that. and dose anyone know of a places that I can get more information on the mine plow and have detailed pics of it as well? Also I’m trying to come up with an Idea for a Diorama of either just a M1A1HA by itself, or have a Bradly with it with some troops added in. Did they have the old M2A2 in Iraqi Freedom, or did they upgrade them before the war started and then sent them over to Iraq?
So if anyone has a good Idea for me to use, please send me information, or some pic to get some ideas to pull this off.

P.S., did Anyone findout information on kits that are not discontuned to show of detail for the main 120mm of the Abrams, or is that just have to be scratch built from some plastic?

Yes, the hull and turrets could be swapped around, but I don’t see why. The mine plow can be used on an Army or Marine tank. Some of the older M2A2s were is use, drawn from pre-positioned stocks in Kuwait. Many of them received upgrades bringing the close to M2A2ODS standards. Any Bradley would have the CIP panels that come with the new Brad but not with the old. They are available separately as a Modern Equipment accessory.
To add on, MAJ Rob is correct, they are actually the same basic kit with some new items added for the OIF kit. The plow will work on any 1/35 Abrams kit. USMC did use mine plows on some of their Abrams as well.
Not sure what you are asking here? If you are looking for PE upgrade sets, there are a few out there, Eduard and Vovager are a couple that come to mind. If you are talking about the breech for the interior of the tank, DMLs kits come with the partial interior that includes a breech. I have an extra interior, let me know if that is what you need and we can work out a trade.
