I build aircraft, but I want to start building vehicles kits with one of these kits: Sd Kfz/1, /2 or /3… I think that the Sd Kfz 234/2 is also called “Puma”… and I know that they three are available from Italeri in 1/35, but here in my country I only can buy the /1 and /3, the Puma is sold out… anyone of you have built any of these kits?.. comments and suggestions welcome…
Very old mouldings with some innaccuracies. It depends whether you want to build OOB or spend some money.
The fenders are all too narrow and need a .40 thou styrene strip added to make them stand out more. The tread pattern on the wheels are wrong and the hubs are not accurate either, but Tiger Model Design provides replacements for them.
The /3 and /4 (the four is OOP but still available occasionally on Ebay) are open topped vehicles and the lack of real internal detail is noticible. The /1 has a 2 cm gun turret of the same type as the SdKfz 140/1 and Sd Kfz 250/9 but not the SdKfz 222 as often thought. The Turret has mesh screens and really needs to be replaced - Aber make a turret only fret you can buy if you want to keep the cost down.
The Puma (234/2) is a turreted vehicle, and you should be able to find one around as they are still in production.

A whole bunch of guys modelling the 234 series and discussing probs, updates, fixes, etc. I’m sure they would be glad to have you sign on to build a 234 with them.
