Questions about Green Stuff putty

Hey All, I recently bought a tub of Kneadatite Green Stuff 2-part putty after talking with the guys from King’s Hobbies and Tanks Rats. They spoke very highly about it and how it was better for certain applications than the putties I have been using (Spuadron green, Bondo spot putty, and Milliput). I’m thinking of mainly figure conversion and tarps/supplies as uses for Green Stuff. The big problem is this, I’ve slept since I bought this stuff and I don’t remember some of the tips for using it! [:$] Can anyone tell me your personal experience with Green Stuff and how it handles, especially any tips on making it easier to use (i.e. does talcum powder keep it from sticking to surfaces for rolling it out flat?). Thanks in advance!

Mike

I only had a bit that was given to me by a friend. I mixed it up, and just used it as it was, rolled out on a flat surface. I would probably stick with miliput as its cheaper for things like tarps etc, and buy this stuff for figure conversions etc.

Thanks for the input, Z. I was wondering about this stuff, too.

Google ‘using green stuff’ or ‘green stuff tips.’ There is a wealth of info regarding this material on the various wargaming/miniatures sites and forums.
