Questions about DML M4A4 Sherman

Can anyone tell me anything about this kit? What AM parts, in terms of details, stowage, and engine would be appropriate for it? Are the in box tracks, wheels, and bogies ok, or should I go for one of the AFV club sets?

Here’s a handy page on corrections for the DML M4A4, Firefly Vc kits.

I’ve made some pics of a m4a4. which is in my area.

This is a great starting point. Thanks!

Above is the DML M4A4 I built a couple of years ago. If memory serves me, the kit tracks had injector pin marks I did not want to deal with so I used AFV Club steel cleat T-49[?] tracks. As I recall they were a little too tight a stretched a little. If I were to build another, I would pay a liitle more attention to the idler wheel position to loosen the tracks a little. It could have been my mistake on its position, I’m not sure. A side of that it was a typical DML Sherman[long hull]. I thought it was a decent kit. [2c]

No, you didn’t do anything wrong. The AFV Club tracks for the extended hull A4 were too tight.

Thanks, I always wondered.
