Question; Russian BTR-40 APC Radio equipment

Hi there,

I hope you guys are enjoying the autumn as much as I do, so many colors when the leaves are turning.

I stumbled over trumpeters 05517 BTR-40 APC at the German LHS the other day and could not resist.

The kit looks very nice in the box with a high level of detail, complete engine some etch and rubber tires.

Not sure if the rubber tires are pro or con but time will tell.

Would anyone know what color the drive train should be?

Russian vehicle always have the frame and drive train in semi-gloss black.

Hi again,

I found this picture on a website close to here, I wonder if someone could help me out and identify the Radio.

Is this Russian?

Does anyone make it?

I have seen some reference pictures where the vehicle is armed with a SG-43, Would it ever have been armed with a DShK like the GAZ-69A?
