Hi All, hope this is ok to post here, if not please let me know. Has anybody had dealings with Airmodzone, they apparently are in Illinois? I made a purchase, but all correspondence since has been ignored. Have a feeling it is a scam, but want to check before I take further action.

Don’t know if they are real or not, a look at their site and theyr location address as reported there is 2758 School Rd, Gilbert, Iowa 50105, United States…
A google search of that address says it isn’t a viable address for anything… It doesn’t bring up anything of record… It should at least bring up a google maps image of the building…

Thanks for responding. I did do a google search and thought it was odd no building picture, should have been first red flag. Think I might contact cc company and see what they say.

Also look at what the are selling, Photoetch & Resin details for 1/144th scale aircraft? Weighted tyres on a 1/144th scale aircraft would be around 3/16th of an inch in diameter, who has the eyes for seeing bulged tyres at 3/16th’s of an inch?
Practical reality raises a LOT of doubts…
I know this cause I’ve been caught with this as well…

I think that we have all fallen prey to an online scam to some degree or other, so don’t feel bad about it. For those that haven’t, it’s just a matter of time. Reporting to your cc company was your best recourse. Try to stick to established companies/websites, ask here for advice on shopping when in doubt, and lastly if it seems too good to be true, it usually is. Best of luck on the refund.

Thanks for the link. Checked another website using it and was another scam. It is a handy little tool to have. I won’t give up what I am looking for though, hopefully I will find one soon. Also want to thank everyone for the help and support I received. Have put a dispute claim in, hopefully will get money back.
