Wasn’t sure if I should post this in the references section or not, but thought it would get faster responses here.
I am a forum member of the Luftwaffe Bulletin Board and the question has arisen as to whether Erich Hartmann ever actually flew an F-104.
Whereas many of us know of Hartmann’s (accurate) criticism of the 104 as being an unsafe A/C in the hands of young and inexperienced pilots, does anyone have any info on his actual experience with it?
What I am looking for is anything relating to logbook or Bundeswaffe service records for Hartmann’s time in an F-104.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
