I’m having a problem with an AIM-54 Phoenix pallet on a 1/72 F-14. I started sanding it down and scrapping it because it was not level in the middle so the missile wouldn’t sit level. So I started to sand the middle down but now see that just the side of it where it slopes down at about a 45 degree angle has been sanded away. But the opposite side on the port one is ok. I’m trying to figure out is it too minute to see with armament under there? Or can I shape putty into an edge and stick it on?
a picture would help. I’d place the piece with a missile on it and see if it needs to be addressed or not.
i’ll put one up before the end of the day
Here are 2 without and with a missile. If you look at the 1st it has a grey area that just in the middle of that area is rather smooth, but the pallet ont he left is fine. I’m just afraid i sanded too much. But the 2nd pictures shows the bad pallet with a missile and you be the judge,
sorry about the quality
