I often check out the great sites suggested on the threads but sometimes I get a blank box with a little square in the corner containing a square/circle and triangle? It is probably me,so what am I doing or have done wrong??
Thanks in advance.[:)]
Hi lolok. Not quite sure what you’re refering to. You can post a screenshot to better illustrate this. If you need to know how to get a screen shot, let us know, we can help there.
As for the problem opening web pages, try to click on the link directly. If that doesn’t work, open another browser page (double click on your Internet Explorer again, if that’s what you use), go into the thread, select the link, right click and click on copy, then go to your new window, erase the address on the address bar, right click and paste, then hit enter (return).
Also, I don’t know whether you’re opening links from home or work. I know that a lot of these posts don’t work at companies that run filtering software, which most companies do.
Agreed, it sounds like some sort of security issue. If you’re at home, you can make adjustments to reduce security from “Internet Option” in the Control Panel.
lolok ,
I think I know what your talking about , but also try what the others said and try lowering your secruity , also try this , when you want to open a web page right click a window will open giving you several options , choose " Open in New Window " see if that works for you .
You mean something like this:
Or this:
question - what web browser are you using?
Hi, Yes Thevinman the first logo is the one… I am just using windows web browser
That’s a picture of a broken image link.
Usually, this means that the webpage you are looking at is missing an image. In other words – an image on a web page consists of two things:
- A “reference” or path to the image file and
- An image file
If either one is missing or there is a typo in the “reference”, then you get that image. It’s basically an image place holder for the webpage. The webpage just can’t find the picture.
Bottom line, it’s probably not you…it’s the webpage you are browsing.
